In a season dominated from start to finish, KKR's bowling unit was inch perfect leaving Sunrisers in a shambles while bowling them out for a paltry 113 in 18.3 overs. It was the tournament's lowest ever summit clash score. Venkatesh Iyer (52 not out, 26b, 4x4, 3x6), a forgotten India all-rounder, then helped KKR complete the formalities in just 10.3 overs.

KKR opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz was left fuming following a controversial LBW decision that prevented him from scoring a half-century. During the 9th over of the KKR innings, Gurbaz went for a sweep shot against Shahbaz Ahmed but the ball turned a bit and hits his pads. The on-field umpire raised his finger but Gurbaz quickly took a review and the batter looked extremely confident that he was not-out.

Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan made his first public appearance since suffering a heat stroke as he attended the IPL Final against Sunrisers Hyderabad with wife Gauri Khan on Sunday. SRK was hospitalised in Ahmedabad after he suffered a heat stroke following KKR's Qualifier 1 match against SRH but he was discharged after a couple of days. He was in attendance along with his wife Gauri Khan and children - Suhana Khan and Aryan Khan. SRK was wearing a mask during the match and his entire family was seen celebrating as KKR produced a brilliant bowling display.
Mitchell Starc produced a brilliant delivery to clean bowl Abhishek Sharma in the first over of the IPL 2024 final between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday. Starc has been in the news throughout the competition after he became the costliest player in the history of the IPL as KKR bought him for a mammoth sum of Rs 24.75 Crore. However, he bounced back brilliantly from his disappointing start and produced a ripper to send Abhishek Sharma packing. The delivery pitched on the leg-stump line before nipping away sharply and it ultimately crashed into the off-stump to leave Abhishek stunned.
