The Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals sealed a decisive eight-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday to keep their playoff hopes alive in IPL 2022. So far, DC have won six games from 12 outings, and sit fifth in the points table. Following the conclusion of the match, former India all-rounder Ajay Jadeja felt that Pant has done a fine job while leading the team. Jadeja also said that DC head coach Ricky Ponting worked closely with Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant, but backed the young wicketkeeper-batter to lead the side.

Just a day after Gautam Gambhir's fiery dressing speech to Lucknow Super Giants caught the attention of cricket fans, Rajasthan Royals director of cricket Kumar Sangakkara's speech is also garnering a lot of attention. Sanga's speech though was a little different. While Gambhir spoke about the need to have "game sense" and to "not give up", Sangakkara focussed on the quality that was there in the Royals camp and asked his team to chin up after a big defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals which kept their playoff hopes in the balance.

CSK Unfollow Ravindra Jadeja On Instagram Amid Rift Rumours: Report

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings for almost 10 years, was unfollowed by the franchise on their Instagram handle. Jadeja has also been ruled out of the ongoing edition of the IPL due to a bruised rib, which he suffered during the clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 4. "Ravindra Jadeja reported a bruised rib and was unavailable for Chennai Super Kings' game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He was under observation and based on medical advice he has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL season," said an official statement from CSK.

Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant on Wednesday said his opener Prithvi Shaw could be suffering from typhoid. Speaking after the Capitals' eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals, which kept their IPL playoffs hopes alive, Pant said they missed Shaw at the top of the order. "We miss him but we can't control that. He has typhoid or something like that is what the doctor told me," Pant said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
