Putting forward Rajasthan Royals' maiden triumph in the inaugural edition of the IPL as a case study Agarkar commented on the glorious uncertainties of cricket.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday unveiled the official jersey for the 2022 season. The 2022 Royals jersey is inspired by a unique Rajasthani design called the 'Leheriya', meaning 'wave' in English. Dating back to the 17th century, the tie-and-dye patterns used in this design result in diagonal or v-shaped stripes, resembling the winds blowing across Rajasthan's deserts.

Delhi Capitals on Tuesday appointed former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson as their new assistant coach ahead of IPL 2022 season. The 40-year-old joins the coaching staff comprising Ricky Ponting (Head Coach), Pravin Amre (Assistant Coach), Ajit Agarkar (Assistant Coach) and James Hopes (Bowling Coach). On his appointment, Watson said: "The IPL, the best T20 tournament in the world. I've got incredible memories as a player, first of all with Rajasthan Royals winning it in 2008, led by the incredible man Shane Warne, RCB and then CSK."

He also revealed how Yuvraj inspired him during the 2011 ODI World Cup when he helped India win the title. "I was really young back then, playing gully cricket in my hometown of Jodhpur and couldn't even hold the bat with the correct grip. But seeing Yuvraj Singh have a wonderful tournament in 2011 really inspired me. I am also a left-hander so I used to love how he could hit the ball so effortlessly. I think that was a period which really changed my life for the good", he said.
