The ICC on Wednesday announced the updated schedule of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Two of India's group stage matches has seen date changes. The India vs Pakistan match has been shifted from October 15 to October 14. The India vs Netherlands match has been shifted from November 11 to November 12. The tickets for all matches not featuring India - in the warm-ups and in the tournament - will go on sale first, on August 25.

During Day 4 of the encounter, the 36-over-old ball was changed for a new one but Australia complained that the new ball was shinier and harder than what it should have been. The change of ball proved to be a turning point as Australia lost wickets in quick succession and were ultimately defeated by 49 runs. A couple of days after the Ashes series ended, Australia and England were in for a rude shock as the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday said it docked points and fined both the teams for maintaining slow over-rate during the recently-concluded contest. The ICC said in a release on its website that both England and Australia, who played out a 2-2 draw with one Test of the five-match series being washed out in Manchester, have been fined one World Test Championship point for every over short, along with match fees.
