We wish to get to the bottom of why players are suffering injuries frequently: Roger Binny
Sourav Ganguly as the new BCCI president, India's 1983 World Cup winner Roger Binny spelled out his top priority for now: investigating why India's premier pacers are breaking down frequently. Just before the T20 World Cup, India suffered a big blow when they lost key pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Deepak Chahar, to injuries. Being a seamer himself, Binny knows how fragile fast bowlers' bodies are, and what can be done to ensure they remain injury-free. "We will look to improve on what we can do to reduce the injuries to players. Bumrah got injured just before the World Cup, which affects the whole plan," Binny said after being elected unopposed as the new BCCI chief, with the new set of office-bearers by his side post the Annual General Meeting of the Board at a five-star hotel on Tuesday.
