"Mumbai Cha Raja": Rohit Sharma Ends Fan's 10-Year-Long Wait For Autograph - Watch

An ardent fan of Rohit Sharma checked into Manuka Oval, called out his names multiple times before breaking into a "Mumbai cha raja" chant to attract the India captain's attention, and get his autograph, which he was seeking for the past 10 years. All his hard work -- and tactic -- was worth the effort as a smiling Rohit duly obliged and ended the fan's "decade-old" wait by signing him an autograph after India's comfortable victory in the warm-up game against Prime Minister's XI  on Sunday. "Rohit bhai please, dus saal ho gaye yaar (it's been 10 years). Rohit bhai Mumbai cha raja (king of Mumbai)," the fan stood out with his plea. The BCCI also took note of it.

As Team India Scripted Sensational Turnaround, Sourav Ganguly Wasted No Time To Do This

India's stunning victory over Australia upset the predictions of quite a few cricket experts and former cricketers, who had given Australia the edge looking at India's form in the home series against New Zealand. One of them, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan, had predicted that Australia would win the five-match Test series 3-1. However, just after Australia were bundled out for 104 in response to India's first innings total of 150, legendary former India captain Sourav Ganguly did not miss a chance to tease Vaughan and remind him about his prediction.

From "Is He Ready" To "Most Impressive": Sunil Gavaskar's Stunning U-Turn On India Star vs Australia. Not Yashasvi Jaiswal

Sunil Gavaskar, former Indian cricket team captain, is highly impressed with the performance of the side in the first Test against Australia. Playing without regular captain Rohit Sharma, the side notched a memorable win over Australia in Perth with Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli stepping up. But the 'most impressive' performance, according to Gavsakar, came from debutant allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. Reddy scored 41 and 38* while also taking a wicket.

"Heads To Be Chopped...": Sunil Gavaskar Senses Panic In Australia Camp, Highlights 'Mystery' Pull Out

Legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar believes the panic in Australian team environment is very much evident, citing Josh Hazlewood's comments, after losing to India by 295 runs in the first Test at Perth. The heavy defeat meant Australia are now 1-0 behind in the five-match series, with the second game, a pink-ball affair, set to happen in Adelaide on December 6. "The panic in the Australian ranks is palpable, what with former players calling for heads to be chopped off and some even hinting at cracks in the Australian team after Josh Hazlewood's media interview at the end of the third day's play, where he suggested that it was up to the batters to now do something.

BCCI 'Hesitant' To Accept PCB's Terms For Ending Champions Trophy Row - Report Makes Big Claim

There has been a lot of conversations surrounding the Champions Trophy 2025 with India refusing to travel to Pakistan over security concerns. With the International Cricket Council (ICC) under a lot of pressure to resolve the deadlock between the two countries, a 'hybrid' formula was floated that meant India will be playing their matches in Dubai. Several media reports suggested that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was ready to accept it if the ICC was willing to give a written confirmation that all Pakistan matches in events hosted by India will take place in a neutral venue and they are given an increase share in annual revenue. However, according to CricketPakistan, the BCCI is 'hesitant' in accepting the solution.

A cap worn by Australia's greatest batsman Don Bradman will be auctioned in Sydney on Tuesday, with the tattered "baggy green" expected to fetch as much as US$260,000. Ignored India Star Praises "Captain" Jasprit Bumrah, Calls Him "Team's Man"

Cheteshwar Pujara feels pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah possesses all the qualities of being a good skipper and India should look at him as long term captaincy candidate once Rohit Sharma steps down. In the absence of regular skipper Rohit, Bumrah led an under-pressure Indian team to their most dominant win in Australia. "He is (a viable long term captaincy option) with any doubt," Pujara said on ESPN Cricinfo. "The way he has showed that in difficult circumstances when we had a tough series at home and when you are playing a first Test match in Australia and to put up a show like that."
