India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy brought up his maiden Test century under immense pressure during the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Melbourne. It was a special moment for Nitish, who had his father Mutyala Reddy watching from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) stands. Having come in to bat with India under the pump at 191/6, the 21-year-old completed a stunning hundred, and it seemed as if his father was living through the journey with him, with cameras showing his father praying in the stands.

Walking in to bat with India struggling at 191/6 and still trailing Australia by 283 runs, Reddy played a phenomenal counter-attacking knock. The 21-year-old, who has made a huge impression in this series with the bat, put up a half-century, ending on an unbeaten 85 at the Tea break. He celebrated his fifty in style, replicating the iconic 'Pushpa' celebration, taken from Telugu film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' starring Allu Arjun.

Bumrah said it was an interesting battle against Konstas on the opening day of the fourth Test but believed he could have got the better out on six-seven occasions in the first two overs. Konstas, who played some unconventional shots on way to an impressive 60 off 65 balls, hit Bumrah for two sixes during his knock. This was the first time in three years that Bumrah was hit for a six in Test cricket.
