"India Are Going Weaker On...": Former World Cup-Winner Blasts T20 Team Selection

India's 15-member T20 World Cup 2024 squad is out, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) going with 'tried and tested options' rather than doing a major overhaul. In the bowling unit, the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh made the cut while Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan were roped in as reserves. As reactions to India's squad selection continue to pour in, Madan Lal, a member of India's 1983 World Cup-winning squad, isn't convinced.

India To Play Champions Trophy In Pakistan? Report Reveals PCB's Suggestion To ICC

Pakistan cricket authorities have suggested the International Cricket Council to schedule India's qualifying round matches only in one city during the Champions Trophy next year. The Pakistan Cricket Board, slated to host the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy in 2025, has picked three cities in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore, which also gets the final, as venues to organise the tournament. “The ICC general manager Wasim Khan also recently visited Lahore where he discussed the CT arrangements with the PCB top brass and it was suggested that the Indian team's travel itinerary be kept to a minimum,” a PCB source informed.

The ICC Clause That Can Still See Rinku Singh Participate In T20 World Cup 2024

As the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-man roster for the T20 World Cup 2024, there was no place for talented stars like Rinku Singh, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi. The board, together with the team management, chose a mix of veterans and IPL performers as it named the squad for the marquee event. Seeing players like Rinku and Bishnoi miss out on a spot in the final 15, however, many fans and pundits expressed their disappointment. However, it's not all over for players like Rinku yet.

"Cricketing Ability Over Likability On Instagram": BCCI Slammed Over Rinku Singh T20 World Cup Snub

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Rinku Singh's omission from the T20 World Cup 2024 squad has seen many question marks being raised over the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee. Rinku, who has hardly put a foot wrong since making his India debut last year, paid the price of the Impact Substitute Rule in the Indian Premier League. Seeing Rinku being overlooked for the 15-man roster, former India cricketer Ambati Rayudu lambasted BCCI selectors over the decision, saying they should prefer a player's cricketing ability over another's likability on Instagram.

"Uska Dil Tuta Hai": Rinku Singh's Father Breaks Silence On Son's T20 World Cup Snub

The omission of Rinku Singh from India's squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 came as a shock for both fans and several experts. The left-handed batter showed phenomenal form for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 and since making his T20I debut for India, he has constantly performed with the bat and in the field. Rinku was not added in the 15-member squad but he did find a place in the reserves along with Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed. Rinku's father Khanchandra Singh opened up about his son's exclusion from the squad and said that there was 'sadness' over what happened.

Suryakumar Yadav Continues To Lead ICC T20 Batter Rankings, Babar Azam Moves To...

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has closed the gap on India dynamo Suryakumar Yadav at the top of the ICC Men's T20I batter rankings with his team managing to draw the latest series against New Zealand. Babar was Pakistan's leading run-scorer during the enthralling series that ended tied at 2-2, with the right-hander scoring a half-century in the fifth T20I of the series to finish with a total of 125 runs from four innings at the top of his side's batting order. Pakistan won the fifth T20I with the first match washed out due to rain.

"Constant Personal Attacks": Hardik Pandya Sent 'Stay Strong' Message Amid Criticism

Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer expressed his disappointment with fans trolling Indian all-rounder and Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya for his poor performances in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), saying that during the T20 World Cup starting from June in West Indies and USA, the all-rounder will play some crucial knocks and the trolls will be singing his praise. Hardik's disappointing season with the bat, ball and as captain continued as MI slipped to their seventh loss in 10 games this season with a four-wicket defeat to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Though Pandya took two wickets, he was dismissed for a golden duck.
