Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli has revealed that he was "approached a few times" by few IPL franchises in the past to put himself in the auction but he preferred to stay at Royal Challengers Bangalore. "I've been approached a few times as well -- to come into the auction somehow -- I have thought about it," Kohli told the RCB podcast.

Vice-captain KL Rahul and batter Mayank Agarwal joined the Indian camp in Ahmedabad on Monday ahead of the 2nd ODI vs West Indies. Pacer Navdeep Saini also came out of Covid-19 isolation and was back in the nets. The trio were seen training at the Narendra Modi Stadium, with both sides set to face each other on Wednesday. The BCCI also took to Twitter to share photos and captioned it as, "Look who are here! The trio has joined the squad and sweated it out in the practice session today."

India completed a comfortable win over West Indies in the first one-day international of the three-match series in Ahmedabad and that gave Rohit Sharma the perfect start to his full-time reign as India's ODI captain. India won the match by six wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. "We had spoken before the game. The thing which you said before the game, the thing I missed in South Africa, I didn't bowl more googlies, so it was there in my mind," Chahal told Rohit in an interview aired on 'bcci.tv'.

Anil Kumble scripted history 23 years ago on February 7, 1999, becoming the first Indian and only second cricketer ever to register all 10 wickets in an innings. Kumble cruised past Pakistan's batting order in the second innings of the second Test match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium (now renamed as Arun Jaitley Stadium) in New Delhi. Although Kumble retired more than a decade ago, fans still remembered his astounding achievement and lauded him on Twitter on Monday. The BCCI also took to the social media, showing India head coach Rahul Dravid practicing some deliveries in the nets and captioned it as, "Celebrating the 23rd anniversary of @anilkumble1074's 10-74".
