India May Play Its Asia Cup Games In UAE, And Not In Pakistan: Report

In a possible solution to the Asia Cup logjam, Pakistan may remain the host and India could be offered to play its matches in the UAE where some games will be held, according to sources in the Board (PCB). In such a scenario, the UAE will also host the final if India qualifies for it, according to a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) source. An emergent meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was held in Bahrain on February 4 at the behest of PCB chief Najam Sethi after the continental body released its itinerary and Pakistan wasn't named the hosts of the tournament.

ICC Issues Apology, Explains Reason Behind 'Ranking Glitch' Which Showed India As No.1 Test Side

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has apologised for the technical glitch, which saw India displace Australia to attain the No.1 spot in the men's Test team rankings on Wednesday. Hours after India had 'topped' the Test ranking, the ICC issued another updated list that showed Rohit Sharma's side back at No.2. It gave the impression that Rohit's team had briefly claimed the top spot following its innings and 132-run win over the Pat Cummins-led Australia in Nagpur.

"ICC Won't Be Able To Do Anything In Front Of BCCI": Pakistan Great's Strong Comment On Asia Cup Controversy

The confusion over the host venue for the 2023 Asia Cup does not seem to end. While Pakistan is the designated host, BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who is also the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) head, last year said that India won't be travelling to the country for the continental event.  While the decision over the venue of the Asia Cup has been put off in the latest ACC meeting, veteran India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin recently gave his take on the topic. Ashwin, in a video on his YouTube channel, doesn't think it is possible for Pakistan to skip the ODI World Cup in India if the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refuses to travel to their country for the Asia Cup.
