Australia's star pacer Scott Boland turned down a County contract to play against India in the World Test Championship and upcoming Ashes series against Australia. Scott Boland made a name for himself in last year's Ashes series against England when he stunned everyone with a magnificent spell. He gave away seven runs for just six wickets on his Test debut when he became the second Indigenous Australian man to play a red ball game.

Jaiswal is enjoying a breakthrough season in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and scored his maiden century in the tournament earlier this month. The 21-year-old is currently the third-highest run-scorer in the season, only behind Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis (702) and Gujarat Titans' star opener Shubman Gill (576). Gavaskar suggested that Jaiswal is a technically sound batter and deserves a chance in the Indian team.

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting believes that the conditions of the Oval will be similar to Australia and this will give the Aussies a slight edge against India in the World Test Championship 2023 final. "I think it will be a bit more similar to an Australian wicket than it will be to an Indian wicket, therefore I am giving a slight advantage to Australia. If this game was being played in India, I would have said it is really going to be hard for Australia to win. If this game was played in Australia, I'd say Australia are the heavy favourites. The fact that this final is being played in England probably brings both teams a little closer together," Ponting said at an event in New Delhi.

Australian legend Ricky Ponting feels the International Cricket Council has a role to play in ensuring that players from smaller Test playing nations are paid well for their services in the five-day format. Ponting gave the example of West Indies cricketers who tend to choose franchise cricket over international duty for financial reasons. In an event organised by the ICC ahead of the World Test Championship final between India and Australia at the Oval from June 7, Ponting was asked about youngsters wanting to play the five-day game in an era of T20 leagues.

BCCI Set To Ratify Its POSH Policy And Form World Cup Working Group At SGM

The Indian cricket board will ratify its new Prevention Of Sexual Harassment (PSH) policy at a Special General Meeting (SGM) in Ahmedabad on May 27 while a core "Working Group" will be formed to oversee preparations for the 2023 ODI World Cup in October-November. The PTI has accessed the five point agenda of the SGM agenda including "Formation of Infrastructure Development and Subsidy Sub-Committee, Guidelines for appointment of Physiotherapists and Trainers in state teams, Formation of Working Group for ICC World Cup 2023, Formation of committee of Women's Premier League and Ratification of Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy".
