Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh took two wickets each to restrict West Indies to a somewhat modest total of 149 for the loss of six wickets. WI skipper Rovman Powell scored 48 while Nicholas Pooran slammed a quickfire 41 but it was not enough as the hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

It was a perfect debut for Tilak Varma as the youngster pulled off a brilliant catch to dismiss Johnson Charles during the first T20I encounter between India and West Indies on Thursday. Tilak, who was stationed at deep mid-wicket, had a lot of ground to cover but he was able to pull it off and the catch became almost easy for him at the end.
