Shubman Gill Achieves Mega 1st With 7th Ton In ODI vs England. Not Even Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli Have It

Shubman Gill was in his elements in the third India vs England ODI as the 25-year-old batter struck fine century to extend his purple patch. Going into the Champions Trophy 2025, Gill's scores of 87, 60 and  112 will augur well for the Indian team which is battling with off form of several senior players. Even star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is ruled out due to injury. In such a scenario, the performances and form of the likes of Shubman Gill is extra crucial for the Rohit Sharma-led side. "We Win, You Lose": PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Hits Back At Social Media Trolls

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi hit back at social media trolls who questioned the board's ability to complete the upgradation of Karachi and Lahore stadiums in time before the upcoming Champions Trophy, beginning on February 19. Over the past month, the PCB faced a lot of criticism regarding the timely completion of the renovation of the stadiums, which will host the Champions Trophy matches. After a shift in venue for a bilateral Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh from Karachi to Rawalpindi last year and the extension of the deadline for the completion of stadiums, there were concerns about whether Pakistan could complete the work in time.

Sunil Gavaskar's Blunt Prediction For Virat Kohli In Champions Trophy 2025: "This Time, If He..."

The 2017 Champions Trophy was a bitter experience for the Indian cricket team, despite the side reaching the final. The Virat Kohli-led side played fantastic cricket to reach the title clash in style but then got beaten by arch-rivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final. The marquee event is back after eight years and going into the Champions Trophy 2025, things don't look too bright for two important players of the Indian cricket team - Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The veteran duo has faced a lot of criticism in the past two months, especially after a poor outing Down Under in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma Face Fans' Ire Over Changes To India's Champions Trophy Squad

In a huge setback for Team India, as it gears up for the Champions Trophy, marquee pacer Jasprit Bumrah was been ruled out of the tournament due to a lower back injury. While Bumrah's fitness was deemed okay, the selectors decided to not risk him in the ICC event. Instead, they decided to name Harshit Rana as his replacement. While the Bumrah and Harshit swap was forced, the board also made an unforced change by bringing in spinner Varun Chkravarthy in place of opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal. Though the team management had its reasons behind the said changes, fans aren't entirely on board.

Another surprise awaited the Indian cricketing spectrum as opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was dropped for mystery spinner Vaun Chakravarthy, courtesy of the latter's exemplary performances in the T20I assignment against England.
