FIH Pro League: Indian Men Beat Ireland 4-0, Women's Team Defeats Germany 1-0
India continued their domination over Ireland, defeating the visitors 4-0 in their return leg men's FIH Pro League match in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. It was India's second consecutive win over Ireland in the Pro League, having defeated the same opponents 3-1 in the first-leg on Friday. The Indians dominated the proceedings from start to finish, scoring through Nilam Sanjeep Xess (14th minute), Mandeep Singh (24th), Abhishek (28th) and Shamsher Singh (34th). It was Ireland who started on a bright note, earning a penalty corner as early as in the ninth minute but they wasted the chance.
India Beat Ireland 3-1 In Men's FIH Pro League Hockey
The Indian men's hockey team overcame a goal deficit to beat Ireland 3-1 in the FIH Hockey Pro League in Bhubaneswar on Friday. Harmanpreet Singh's side was stunned in the eighth minute when Jeremy Duncan scored from a field effort. But the Indians bounced back strongly, scoring a field goal through Mandeep Singh in the 22nd minute. Jarmanpreet Singh (45th) and Sukhjeet Singh (58th) then scored a goal each from penalty corners to guide India to a convincing win. India will now take on Ireland in the return-leg match on Saturday.
