Two of the most fierce competitors on the field, Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi squared off against each other once again in the Legends League Cricket T20 match between India Maharajas and Asia Lions. Whenever the names of Gambhir and Afride are taken in the same sentence, more often than not, bitter memories are relived of the two cricketing stalwarts' clashes on the field during their active days as cricketers. However, on Friday, a heartwarming moment was witnessed on the field, with Afridi checking Gambhir's well-being.
Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Naseem Shah was fined 10 per cent of his match fees for hearing the wrong helmet during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans. Naseem, who is currently playing for the Gladiators, was penalised under the PCB Code of Conduct as he was wearing the helmet of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) side Comilla Victorians – the franchise that Naseem also plays for. Naseem's short stay at the crease was ended by the Sultans pacer Ihsanullah whose five-wicket haul proved decisive as the Gladiators were defeated comprehensively.

Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has claimed that batters like Saeed Anwar and Aamir Sohail used to take on the Indian bowlers without even wearing helmets. He said that the Indian fast bowlers didn't have pace in their deliveries in the past and that led to the Pakistan batters wearing only caps and taking the bowlers to the cleaners.
