Alternate looks and throwbacks lead Week 4 of the NFL season.
Arun Singh Dhumal and Avishek Dalmiya have been re-elected as members of the IPL Governing Council, said the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after its 93rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) happened in Bengaluru on Sunday. The development means Dhumal will continue as the IPL chairman for another year, especially with a mega auction happening later this year and the retention rules being announced on Saturday. V Chamundeswaranath, a former Andhra and South Zone cricketer, was nominated by the Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) as a player representative and was inducted to the IPL Governing Council at the AGM.
Former Pakistan cricket captain Mohammad Yousuf on Sunday stepped down as national selector citing personal reasons. Yousuf, who had been attached with the Pakistan Cricket Board in different roles since last year, was part of a broad-based national selection committee that includes two former Test players, head coaches, captains and an analyst, among others. In his post on 'X', Yousuf wrote, "I announce my resignation as a selector for the Pakistan cricket team due to personal reasons. Serving this incredible team has been a profound privilege, and I am proud to have contributed to the growth and success of Pakistan Cricket." A source close to Yousuf, however, said that the former batter was not happy with the criticism aimed at him in the PCB.
