LOS ANGELES : PGA Tour players feel "a bit of betrayal" about the secrecy that preceded last week's bombshell announcement that the circuit would partner with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and still have plenty of questions about the future, Jon Rahm said.
Jon Rahm admitted there is a sense of betrayal among the PGA Tour membership in the wake of the merger with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Rahm said he was at home making breakfast for his kids and wife Kelley on 6 June when text messages started flowing about a planned merger. "At one point, I told Kelley I'm just going to throw my phone in the drawer and not look at it for the next four hours because I can't deal with this anymore." Rahm still doesn't have any more answers a week later.

The PGA announced a week ago a plan to combine its commercial business with those of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which includes the LIV Golf series that the PGA had previously been in open dispute with.
