Sacked European Ryder Cup captain Henrik Stenson makes his LIV Golf debut on Friday as Donald Trump's Bedminster course hosts the second US event of the rebel Saudi-backed circuit against a backdrop of protests.
After months of controversy, the LIV Golf tour continues to be a hot topic of conversation in the world of golf with many players having joined the rebel tour which is backed by the Saudi state. Manchester-born Sam Horsfield is one of those players who has joined the tour and joins a long list of players to have signed up to play in the tour which is set to rival the PGA and European tours.
Sergio Garcia, who plays on the rebel LIV Golf circuit, says he is going to "hold off" on quitting the European-based DP World Tour as he assesses his Ryder Cup future.

Sergio Garcia has reversed his decision to give up membership of the DP World Tour in hope of playing in the Ryder Cup. The Spanish golfer joined the breakaway Saudi-funded LIV Golf Series earlier this year and announced after The Open that he would quit the European-based DP World Tour. Ad/> Under current regulations, that would leave the 42-year-old ineligible for Ryder Cup selection.
