BUDAPEST — Caeleb Dressel withdrew from the rest of his events at the world swimming championships on the fifth day of the eight-day meet, a day after scratching out of a race on unspecified medical grounds.
The 17-year-old Romanian finished with another late surge as he followed up his 200m free victory. Olympic gold medallist rival Caeleb Dressel won his heat but withdrew from the championships before the final for unspecified health reasons after winning his heat.
