Miami To Host 2024 Copa America Final As Atlanta Gets Opener
Next year's 48th edition of the Copa America, featuring 10 South American nations and six North American teams, will start in Atlanta and end in Miami, organizers said Monday. South American governing body CONMEBOL said the June 20 opener will be staged at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta with the final on July 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The NFL stadiums, both of which have hosted the Super Bowl, will be among US venues for the special edition of the event, typically held in South America but to be hosted in 2024 by the United States.

Reigning champions Italy secured their ticket for Euro 2024 on Monday after holding on for a nervy goalless draw against Ukraine in their final qualifier, while the Czech Republic and Slovenia also clinched places at next year's finals. Italy only needed the draw in a game played in Leverkusen, Germany, in order to qualify but a defeat against their direct rivals in Group C would have left their fate to be decided in play-offs next March. Benjamin Mendy To Sue Manchester City For Unpaid Wages
Former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy is set to sue the Premier League champions after claiming he is owed millions of pounds in unpaid wages. Mendy will take City to an employment tribunal in a bid to recoup what the French left-back believes were "unauthorised deductions from wages" after he was charged with rape and sexual assault two years ago. The 29-year-old was cleared of the rape and attempted rape charges and left City when his contract expired in June.
