Yamalube YART Yamaha Official EWC Team hit back from its 24H SPA EWC Motos heartbreak in style with an impressive performance during testing for next month’s 43rd Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours, round three of the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship. The Austria-based team completed the two-day test at the famous Japanese venue earlier this month with the second-best time overall of 2m06.662s, which made it the leading regular EWC team in action.

Discovery Sports Events, promoter of the FIM Endurance World Championship, is placing on record its appreciation of Suzuki Motor Corporation’s participation in the EWC and is pleased to acknowledge its pledge to continue supporting customer teams competing in the series. Suzuki Motor Corporation confirmed in a press release issued earlier this week that it is aiming “to continue our support for our customers’ racing activities through our global distributor network”, while “maintaining our maximum efforts to win the remaining races” of the 2022 season.

Back on the FIM EWC calendar for the first time since 2019, the Japanese round of the series is hugely popular and significant in equal measure and the Suzuki-powered team is expected to be among the main contenders for overall victory. “I am delighted that the Suzuka 8H is back on the EWC calendar, and the whole team is very excited to be racing in Japan once again,” said Saulnier.

Restrictions on athletes who are transgender or with Differences of Sexual Development (DSD) do not respect the principles of the Olympic Charter, International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) president Fabio Pigozzi said on Friday.
