Fernando Alonso añadió este jueves otra pieza de caza mayor para la colección de coches de competición pilotados a lo largo de su carrera: un Ford Mustang del campeonato australiano V8 Supercars con el que completó cuatro vueltas a la nueva configuración de Albert Park. No fue mala jugada, es el primero de la parrilla de F1 que ha testado sobre el terreno esta versión del circuito de Melbourne junto con Checo, que también se subió a otro V8. El evento se encuadró gracias a Castrol, patrocinador de Alpine y del piloto local Thomas Randle. El asturiano dio tres vueltas con Randle, dueño del coche (marcha 22º en el campeonato) y una más con su ingeniero de carrera, Karel Loos. Charló y se fotografió con los miembros del equipo y después comentó con los suyos: “Es rápido”. Aunque las sensaciones sobre otra montura para alguien habituado al monoplaza más rápido del planeta siempre serán, cuando menos, diferentes.
