The crunch Group A tie, scheduled to kick-off at 4:30 p.m., will be broadcast live on SuperSport Football (DStv ch 205 & GOtv ch 61). On matchday two of the tournament, wildcard team, Akwa United, will take on Northeast zonal champions, Yobe Desert Stars in Group B at 2.00 p.m., followed by another Group B clash between South-South representatives, Rivers United and North-Central zonal champions, Lobi Stars at 4:30 p.m. Hostilities will continue on July 9 in Group A when Remo Stars take on Katsina United at 2.00 p.m., while Enyimba will trade tackles with the second wildcard team, Sporting Lagos at 4:30 p.m.
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, at the weekend, indicated that his government would recruit more talented players from across the world to prepare Enyimba for the challenge of competing successfully in the CAF champions League against sophisticated teams from North Africa.
