Liverpool Held By Everton, Four Red Cards In Fiery Last Goodison Park Derby

James Tarkowski struck in the 98th minute to salvage a 2-2 draw for Everton against Liverpool as four red cards were issued after full-time on a dramatic final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Wednesday. Everton's Abdoulaye Doucoure, Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, Slot and his assistant Sipke Hulshoff were then sent off as tempers flared at the final whistle on a night Liverpool will come to regret if they do not go on to lift a record-equalling 20th English top flight title.

Everton's Goodison Park Set For Emotional Last Merseyside Derby

Goodison Park, home of Everton since 1892, plays host to the Merseyside derby for the final time on Wednesday as the Toffees aim to derail Liverpool's Premier League title charge. Everton will move to a new state-of-the-art 53,000 capacity ground on Liverpool's Bramley Moore Dock next season when they finally leave behind England's first major football stadium. The origins of Goodison gave birth to the rivalry between the city's two clubs. Everton, formed in 1878, once called Anfield their home before a dispute over rent between their landlord John Houlding and the club's board.

Chelsea Hit Back To Ruin West Ham United Boss Graham Potter's Revenge Mission

Chelsea staged a stirring fightback to ruin Graham Potter's return to Stamford Bridge and climb to fourth place in the Premier League with a 2-1 win against West Ham on Monday. Hammers boss Potter was hoping for a victory over the club that sacked him in 2023 after just seven months in charge. Jarrod Bowen gave West Ham the lead in the first half on his return to action after fracturing his foot in late December. But Chelsea recovered from a listless start to equalise through Pedro Neto after the interval before Aaron Wan-Bissaka's late own goal shattered Potter's revenge mission.
