The fifth Test will be played from July 1-5, followed by three T20Is and as many ODIs. Team India will be without their vice-captain, who is currently recovering from an injury.

The Indian cricket team arrived in Birmingham on Wednesday ahead of the rescheduled fifth Test against England at Edgbaston which begins on Friday. The official Twitter handle of Edgbaston shared a video of star India batter Virat Kohli walking with teammate Shubman Gill. As they leave the training ground and are walking away, Kohli abruptly turns around to the cameraman with a serious look on his face before asking "what's up?" and then breaking into a grin. "Love someone as much as Kohli loves Admin," Warwickshire tweeted, responding to the video, with a grab of Kohli grinning at the cameraman.

Team India head coach Rahul Dravid brushed aside concerns about Virat Kohli's age and fitness and said the star batter is "doing what he needs to do" to come out of his lean patch of form. Kohli has not hit a century in international cricket since November 2019, but Dravid insisted that he only wants "match-winning contributions" from the 33-year-old and that does not necessarily have to be in the form of hundreds. He also said that Kohli's form is not due to a lack of motivation.
