West Indies will face England in 1st of England's tour of West Indies, 5 T20I Series, 2023 on Wednesday, December 13, at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, West Indies. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 AM IST. The Caribbean side will come into the T20I series on the back of their 2-1 win in the ODI leg.
Twenty-year-old spinner Shoaib Bashir was on Monday named in England's 16-man squad for the five-Test series against India along with fellow uncapped bowlers Gus Atkinson and Tom Hartley. Bashir only made his first-class debut for Somerset in June but is one of four spinners included for the tour, while vice-captain Ollie Pope and Jack Leach return to the team after injuries. Fast bowler Atkinson and left-arm spinner Hartley have represented England in white-ball cricket but are yet to play at Test level.

England will remain focused on their upcoming second women's T20I against India, undeterred by the concurrent off-field excitement of the Women's Premier League auction, wicketkeeper-batter Amy Jones said on Friday. Leading 1-0 in a three-match series, England will take on India just a few hours after the auction begins for the five WPL franchises. "We had a very similar situation in the (T20) World Cup which was just completely new for us as a group, obviously (the) first auction ever in women's cricket,” Jones recalled about the last WPL auction in February.
Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff will rejoin England's backroom staff for the T20I series against West Indies, according to Sky Sports. The former England captain has gradually returned to the public eye after he suffered a vehicle accident. Flintoff, whose bat and ball efforts in England's 2005 Ashes victory won him cult hero status, has now been named head coach of the Northern Superchargers men's side in The Hundred. He is not part of England's ODI squad for their series against the Windies, but it is expected that he will travel to Barbados later this week for five T20s, the first of which is next Tuesday.
England skipper Jos Buttler made a return to form following a string of low scores and also reached the 5,000 run mark in ODIs, becoming the only fifth English player to do so. Buttler reached this milestone during England's second ODI against West Indies at North Sound. In the match, Buttler scored an unbeaten 58* in 45 balls. His knock had four boundaries and three sixes. His runs came at a strike rate of over 128. Now in 180 ODIs and 153 innings, the England skipper has scored 5,022 runs at an average of 39.85 and a strike rate of over 117.

"I've been searching for form. I have had moments where it has been frustrating," Buttler was quoted as saying by the 'BBC'.
