Hall of Fame broadcaster Dick Vitale began calling Duke Blue Devils men's basketball games for ESPN during the 1980-81 college basketball season, and has been on the call for dozens of Duke telecasts over the ensuing 42 years. Vitale has also enjoyed a close personal friendship with Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski, who will retire at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. On the occasion of Coach K's final home game at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Vitale wrote a letter to pay tribute to Krzyzewski.
Amid all the pageantry of Coach K's final Cameron Indoor Stadium appearance as head coach of the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday, there will be a rather important basketball game as well (6 p.m. ET, ESPN). The North Carolina Tar Heels will make the short journey to Cameron as a team trying to strengthen its position on the NCAA tournament bubble and also avenge a thoroughly one-sided 87-67 loss to its hated rivals in Chapel Hill on Feb. 5.
On Saturday night at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN, we will bear witness to one of the most anticipated events in college basketball. Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski will be on the sideline for his final game at historic Cameron Indoor Stadium. And to add a little extra intrigue, the No. 4 Blue Devils' opponent is the North Carolina Tar Heels. The greatest rivalry in college hoops will be renewed for the final time at Cameron with the legend presiding over the Blue Devils.
More than 41 years have passed since Mike Krzyzewski coached his first game at Cameron Indoor Stadium, an uneventful 67-49 win over Stetson on Nov. 29, 1980. Since then, the court, which now bears his name, has been home to countless magical moments, epic wins and thrilling rivalry games.

The Duke Blue Devils moved closer to their first ACC regular-season championship since 2010 with a 65-61 win over Virginia on Wednesday night, also remaining in position for what would be, stunningly, their first outright ACC regular-season title since the 2005-06 team earned that distinction. Mike Krzyzewski and Co. (24-4, 14-3) are a full game ahead of second-place Notre Dame (20-8, 13-4) heading into Saturday's Sonic Blockbuster matchup at the Syracuse Orange (6 p.m. ET, ESPN and ESPN app).
NBA scouts and pro talent evaluators will be out in force when the Duke Blue Devils visit the Syracuse Orange on Saturday night at the Carrier Dome (6 p.m. ET, ESPN and ESPN app). That group will be primarily observing the work of five Duke players who appeared in or near the first round of ESPN's latest 2022 NBA mock draft: Paolo Banchero (No. 3), AJ Griffin (No. 5), Mark Williams (No. 23), Trevor Keels (No. 24) and Wendell Moore Jr. (No. 33).
