"The kind of innings he played today, the words will be short," Rohit said at the post-match presentation. "We have seen that with him every now and then. He comes up with suck kinds of knocks. He just comes out and bats fearlessly which is what the team expects from him. "Some of the shots he played today, those are not written anywhere in the book. It was very pleasing to watch. Shot selection was also crucial. We know he can play all around the park," Rohit was all praise for Surya.

When Suryakumar arrived on the pitch, India were struggling at 94/2 in 13 overs. In the next seven over, India scored 98 runs. Suryakumar scored most of those runs in the latter overs by hitting six sixes and six fours. He combined with Virat Kohli (59* off 44 balls) and struck a great stand. Then, in the last over by Haroon Arshad, Suryakumar hit four sixes to take India to 192/2 in 20 overs. The No. 4 batter reached the half-century mark in just 22 balls.
Cricket Australia (CA) on Thursday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup. All-rounder Tim David has been named in the squad while Aaron Finch will lead the side as Australia look to defend their T20 World Cup title on home turf. Last year, the side won the tournament after defeating New Zealand in the summit clash. Australia will travel to India for three T20 Internationals in September before returning home to play the West Indies and England leading into the ICC Men's T20 World Cup which opens against New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on October 22.
