Alexander Bolshunov earned his second gold medal at Beijing 2022 by helping the Russian Olympic Committee win the men's 4x10km cross-country skiing relay, giving his team a massive lead that they never relinquished. The Russian quartet of Alexey Chervotkin, Bolshunov, Denis Spitsov and Sergey Ustiugov finished more than a minute clear of the chasing pack in a race that was effectively decided by the halfway stage.

ERC title-winning duo Ingram and Whittock are partners no more
Chris Ingram and Ross Whittock’s FIA European Rally Championship-winning partnership is over. The youngest ERC champion duo announced their split on Friday after 29 events together, including 17 rounds of the European championship. Whittock linked up with his fellow Briton Ingram for the final two rounds of the ERC3 Junior Championship in 2017, which Ingram won.

A record 500 officials and representatives of the rally and cross-country communities from 84 countries, together with experts and speakers, attended the 2022 FIA Rally and Cross-Country Officials Seminar on January 10 and 11 with the virtual format making such a high level of participation possible. Made up of Stewards, Clerks of the Course and event organisers, the delegates were invited to follow sessions on the latest changes to the International Sporting Code and sporting regulations, rally safety updates, drafting of supplementary regulations and the role and duties of Stewards on events.
