Sunil Gavaskar Tried To "Distract, Disrupt, Annoy": Ex-Australia Star Angry Over Comments On Josh Hazlewood

After India defeat Australia comprehensively in  the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Pert, Pacer Josh Hazlewood made an interesting comment. When asked what the hosts could do to make a comeback in the five-match series, Hazlewood said: "You probably have to ask one of the batters that question... I'm probably looking mostly towards the next Test." The comment was picked up by several former cricketers, who wondered if there was a divide in the Australia dressing room.

Champions Trophy Hybrid Model 'Finalised', Says Report. But India Will Have To Pay Heavy Price For ICC's Decision

The International Cricket Council has reached a consensus to conduct next year's Champions Trophy in a hybrid model, allowing India to play its share of matches in Dubai while agreeing "in principle" to a similar arrangement in multi-lateral events till 2027. According to a top ICC source, the decision was more or less finalised during an informal meeting between the body's new President Jay Shah and the Board of Directors, including Pakistan, at its headquarters in Dubai on Thursday. "It's been agreed in principle by all parties that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in the UAE and Pakistan with India playing its matches in Dubai. It's a win-win situation for all stakeholders," the ICC source told PTI.

Pink Ball Does More Than Red, One Has To Find His Own Way To Deal With It: Rohit Sharma

India skipper Rohit Sharma on Thursday said that one will need to devise his own methods to deal with the challenges posed by the pink Kookaburra ball during the day/night Test against Australia as it would do a bit more than the traditional red cherry. Rohit, who didn't score too many in the truncated warm-up game against the Prime Minister's XI, was asked for his take on the pink ball and he agreed with his colleague KL Rahul's view that it does come faster than the red Kookaburra.

Jasprit Bumrah Among Stars Nominated For ICC Player Of The Month Award

Jasprit Bumrah was on Thursday nominated as one of the three contenders to win the ICC player of the month award for November following his magnificent performance in India's massive win by 295 runs over Australia in Perth while captaining the side. Bumrah led the Indian team in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma, who missed the series opener of the five-match Test rubber due to the birth of his second child. "I'd Hit Him Back Over...": On Jasprit Bumrah, Australia Great's Clear Message Ahead of Day-Night Test

Jasprit Bumrah is one Indian player who generates awe and fear in almost similar capacity. He returned with a match-haul of eight wickets as India notched a memorable win. "It was so important for the captain to stand up," Ricky Ponting, former Australia captain, said in the latest ICC Review. "I think he showed everyone why he's clearly the best fast bowler in the world in all formats of the game.

Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin To Play 2nd Test vs Australia? Rohit Sharma's "Huge Role" Remark For Spin Duo

India captain Rohit Sharma on Thursday endorsed the exclusion of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin from the first Test against Australia at Perth, saying it was the "right thing to do" but backed the two veterans to play a "huge role" in the rest of the series. Coming off a 0-3 hammering to New Zealand at home, India took an audacious call to leave out Ashwin and Jadeja while handing Test debuts to Harshit Rana and Nitish Reddy. The decision paid rich dividends as both the young players made vital contributions in India's 295-run win.
