Day 3 of the Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday saw three over-enthusiastic fans run into the ground to touch Virat Kohli's feet. In what was a major security lapse despite the presence of many personnel, the intrusion happened in the 18th over just before lunch break, when Kohli was fielding at cover. Immediately, the three fans were taken away from the field by more than 20 security persons running in from all quarters.

Hina Munawar Appointed First Female Manager For Pakistan Men's Cricket Team

Hina Munawar, a police officer with a strong background in security and operations, has been named as the first female team manager for the Pakistan men's cricket team ahead of the Champions Trophy. Star batter Virat Kohli was felicitated by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) for being only the third player from the team to play 100 or more Tests for India. India wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha retired from all forms of cricket on Saturday, bringing down the curtains on an illustrious career after playing his final Ranji Trophy group-stage match for Bengal against Punjab at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The 40-year-old Saha, who made his international debut in February 2010, has played 49 matches for India across formats -- 40 Tests and nine ODIs. He also represented Bengal and Tripura in domestic cricket, featuring in 142 First-Class and 116 List A matches.

The 51-year-old Tendulkar, who played 664 international games for India, holds the record for the highest number of Test and ODI runs in the history of the game. "Always value your game and take care of your game. I realised on that final day (2013) that I will never walk onto the field as a current India cricketer. Similarly, once you retire then you will realise where you were a few years ago," Tendulkar said during the BCCI's annual awards function.
