Pakistan vs Australia: Fans Train Guns On Rawalpindi Pitch Curator With Brutal Memes

Pakistan's first home Test against Australia in nearly a quarter of a century has not been the best advert for the longest format of the game. It has nothing to do with the quality on show from both teams, rather the pitch at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has left a lot to be desired. Australia are on their first tour to Pakistan since 1998, having previously refused to visit over security fears, and the Test series was being seen as a chance for Pakistan to test their skills at home against one of the top cricketing nations. However, the first Test has been disappointing with the pitch offering nothing for the bowlers.

The match saw batters enjoying a dream run in the middle with the pitch offering minimum or negligible assistance to the fast bowlers. Afridi seemed quite miffed by not only the pitch, but also the team combination the home side went with. Speaking to Samaa TV, Afridi said: "They didn't think about Australia, the bottom-line was 'we shouldn't lose'. But in the next two Tests in Lahore and Karachi, they have to make good pitches. Results have to come on those pitches. You have to take advantage of your home series, or else when you go to Australia, you're going to struggle."

Watch: West Indies' Deandra Dottin Takes Spectacular One-Handed Catch vs England

The ongoing Women's World Cup has already witnessed some breathtaking moments in its initial phase. There have been quite a few brilliant knocks, world-class bowling and athletic fielding so far. The England-West Indies game at the University Oval in Dunedin on Wednesday witnessed a potential contender for catch of the tournament. On the first ball of the ninth over by pacer Shamilia Connell, Deandra Dottin produced a spectacular catch. that good! Connell had bowled tightly in her four overs, giving away only 16 runs before starting her fifth against England batter Lauren Winfield Hill. The ball was pitched well outside the off-stump, presenting a good opportunity for the batter to hit it square towards point. Hill connected well but played the ball in the air. And as the players, fans as well as the cameras started to follow the ball, a flying Deandra Dottin made her appearance to the dismay of Hill. The fielder timed her jump to perfection and grabbed a stunner with a single hand while catching the ball in the air.
