Watch: Tim Southee's Incredible Catch To Dismiss Kagiso Rabada Is Not To Be Missed

Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Tim Southee ran from long-off to mid-on before holding on to a very difficult catch to end Kagiso Rabada's entertaining knock on Friday. After a brilliant start, Punjab Kings lost wickets at regular intervals and looked set for a low total, but Rabada provided them with a flourish at the death as he raced away to 25 runs with the help of four boundaries and a six. However, in the penultimate over, Andre Russell bowled a slower delivery that the South Africa pacer had a swipe at, but ended up slicing it up high in the sky. While it looked like the ball may land in no man's land, Southee did brilliantly to cover a large amount of ground before taking a diving catch to send Rabada packing.

IPL 2022, MI vs RR: Why Kieron Pollard Needs To Be Wary Of These Two Rajasthan Royals Bowlers

After a disappointing Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign last season, Mumbai Indians failed to start the IPL 2022 on a winning note as the five-time champions were narrowly beaten by the Delhi Capitals in their opening game at the Brabourne Stadium last Sunday. Apart from Ishan Kishan, other MI batters struggled to get going against the DC spinners -- Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. MI will now face Rajasthan Royals in their next match, but it won't be an easy game either for the Rohit Sharma-led side.

IPL 2022, GT vs DC: Mohammed Shami's Exceptional Powerplay Stats A Worry For Delhi Capitals

Gujarat Titans' pacer Mohammed Shami broke the back of Lucknow Super Giants' batting lineup in an IPL 2022 match earlier this week as he went on to take the wickets of KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey. Shami gave severe headaches to the opposition camp and it is no surprise that the pacer did the damage inside the powerplay overs. Since the 2019 IPL, Shami has been at his best inside the first six overs and has time and time again proven to be the match-winner for his side.

Two KKR players in particular, Umesh Yadav and Andre Russell, were the stars of the show. Looking at this all-round dominating performance from these star players, KKR posted a hilarious meme from the movie 'Andaaz Apna Apna' to congratulate Umesh for registering figures of 4/23 in four overs, which included a maiden as well.
