Chennai Super Kings legend Suresh Raina reckons that amazing stroke play coming from the bat of Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul proves that he is in the best phase of his career. Rahul has been in a consistent run of form in IPL 2022, scoring 451 runs in 10 matches at an average of 56.38 and strike-rate of 145.01. He also has two centuries against Mumbai Indians and as many half-centuries.

IPL 2022, PBKS vs RR, Live Score Updates: Punjab Kings will look to emerge on the right side of the result when they square off against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium. Currently, at the seventh spot in the points table, Punjab need to keep winning in order to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for the playoffs. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals are at the third spot with 12 points and they would look to peak at the right time to cement their place in the top four. Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal are the current holders of the Orange and Purple Cap and the duo have been a big reason why Rajasthan have tasted success this season. Punjab would have their hands full in order to stop the duo at Wankhede. (LIVE SCORECARD)
Kolkata Knight Riders' hopes of reaching the playoffs hang by a thread, and going forward pretty much all their remaining fixtures will be do-or-die affairs. KKR got the better of Rajasthan Royals in their previous game and on Saturday face another tricky test in the form of second-placed Lucknow Super Giants. High-flying LSG have won three consecutive matches and will be a tough nut to crack, but KKR certainly have the firepower to beat any team on their day. Ahead of the clash between the two teams, former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer, who has become a social media rage thanks to his witty posts, shared a meme from the movie 'Golmaal 3' to express KKR's predicament.
Chennai Super Kings are currently at the ninth spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 points table with just six points. The franchise is not known for chopping and changing, but this season has proven to be somewhat different as the side opted to make leadership changes. Before the start of IPL 2022, MS Dhoni had passed on the baton to Ravindra Jadeja. However, eight games into the season, the all-rounder relinquished captaincy and Dhoni chose to lead again in "larger interest".
Rashid Khan is enduring an ordinary IPL this year with the ball in terms of wickets, but the Gujarat Titans spinner is not too bothered about that as long as he can produce economical spells for his team. Rashid has so far claimed 11 wickets from as many games at an economy rate of 6.84, figures which definitely won't please him much. But the star Afghan cricketer has taken it in stride. "While bowling in T20s it's always great to take wickets but for me, it's a bit different because I always focus on economy and that is something which puts pressure on the batters," Rashid said at the post-match virtual press conference after GT's five-run loss to Mumbai Indians on Friday. "But definitely compared to other IPLs, got less wickets this year. In a couple of games I didn't bowl as good as I should have. But that's T20, there is so much for you to learn."
Mumbai Indians registered only their second win in the ongoing IPL 2022 season, beating table-toppers Gujarat Titans by five runs in a thriller on Friday. While Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma set the foundations of MI's match-winning total, it was Tim David's 21-ball 44 blitz that provided the much-needed finishing touches and in the end it proved to be the difference. In MI's previous match as well against Rajasthan Royals, David had smashed 20 not out off just 9 balls, showcasing his stunning hitting abilities. But interestingly, MI had dropped the batter after just two games and didn't bring him back into the fold until the match against RR.
