Former Australia captain Lisa Sthalekar has become the first woman to be appointed president of the Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA), the organisation said on Tuesday.
Jason Roy was bought by Gujarat Titans in the IPL mega auction but pulled out of IPL 2022 saying that the bio-bubble fatigue had taken a toll on him, and that he'd like to spent some quality time with his family. Soon after the England batter was handed a suspended two-match international ban by the England and Wales Cricket Board for reasons still unknown. Speaking about the entire phase, Roy admitted that taking the "short indefinite break" and spending time with his family has rejuvenated him.
Right-handed batter Manoj Tiwary has been a servant of Bengal cricket for a very long time, however his dream to win the Ranji Trophy once again ended in disappointment this year as the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led side were defeated by Madhya Pradesh in the semi-finals. However, Tiwary's determination stood out as he hit centuries in the quarterfinals against Jharkhand and then in the first innings of the semi-finals against Madhya Pradesh.
Former Australia cricketer Lisa Sthalekar has been named as the president of Federation of International Cricketers' Association. The appointment was done at the FICA Executive Committee meeting held in Switzerland this week, informed the cricket body on Monday. This makes Lisa Sthalekar the first woman to hold the post, which was earlier held by former England batter Vikram Solanki. Notably, former West Indies batter Jimmy Adams and ex-South Africa batter Barry Richards have also served as president of FICA in the past.

It now finds a bunch of bravehearts from Madhya Pradesh standing in its way with tricks of trade learnt from a Mumbaikar. MP head coach Chandrakant Pandit won't let his team settle for anything less than a championship but Amol Muzumdar's men have dominated the proceedings since the start of the business end of the season.
