Giving the Pakistan cricket team a huge boost for the T20 World Cup 2022, speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi will join the national squad in Brisbane as per schedule on Saturday. Afridi was undergoing a rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the PCB Medical Advisory Committee for a few months. He will now be available for selection in Pakistan's warm-up matches against England and Afghanistan.

These contracts are in effect from October 1 onwards. "The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced the Central Contract offers for England Men's international cricket for the year from 1 October 2022," said a statement from the board.

"I have filed nomination for the post of vice-president, Roger Binny has filed nomination for the president, Jay Shah has filed for secretary and Ashish Shelar for treasurer. As of now, the situation is that all will be appointed unopposed," said Shukla while interacting with the media.
