Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Naseem Shah was fined 10 per cent of his match fees for hearing the wrong helmet during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans. Naseem, who is currently playing for the Gladiators, was penalised under the PCB Code of Conduct as he was wearing the helmet of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) side Comilla Victorians – the franchise that Naseem also plays for. Naseem's short stay at the crease was ended by the Sultans pacer Ihsanullah whose five-wicket haul proved decisive as the Gladiators were defeated comprehensively.

India opening batter Prithvi Shaw was allegedly manhandled and his car was attacked with a baseball bat outside a hotel in the Santacruz area of Mumbai, following an argument with a woman social media influencer Sapna Gill and her friend Shobit Thakur after the batter refused to click selfies with the influencer. The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday. The Oshiwara Police has arrested Gill and seven others have been booked for allegedly trying to intimidate the cricketer by damaging his car and threatening to implicate him in a fake case.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief selector Chetan Sharma has resigned amid row over his alleged remarks in a sting operation. The BCCI secretary Jay Shah is said to have accepted his resignation. In the sting operation, Sharma had allegedly made some bizarre comments about Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and a number of other players in the team. The BCCI didn't release any official statement on the matter and now it seems like Sharma has been relieved from his duties.
