Azam Khan was the talk of the Pakistan Super League on Friday night. The Islamabad United wicketkeeper-batter hit a 42-ball 97, laced with eight sixes and nine fours, against Quetta Gladiators. Courtesy Azam's knock Islamabad United reached 220/6 in 20 overs. In reply, Quetta Gladiators were all out for 157 in 19.1 overs. Notably, Azam's brutal hitting came against a side which is coached by his father and former Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan. There was a point in his innings, when Azam gestured towards his father Moin after completing his half-century. Moin could be seen clapping with a straight-face.
Former Indian cricket team skipper Sourav Ganguly picked five young cricketers to watch out for in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a special mention for Suryakumar Yadav. During a recent interaction, the former BCCI President was asked to pick players who he thinks will become huge names in the competition. Ganguly was quick to name Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Ruturaj Gaikwad and fast bowler Umran Malik before adding Gujarat Titans' Shubman Gill to the mix. However, big names like Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer was notably missing from his answer.
England's Ollie Pope took a sensational catch to dismiss New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell on Day 2 of the second Test at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on Saturday. The incident occurred on the final ball of the 33rd over when Mitchell, batting on 13, tried to defend Jack Leach's delivery at full stretch. However, to his surprise Pope, who was deployed at silly point, showed tremendous reflexes and plucked the ball diving down to his right.

India narrowly lost out to defending champions Austrralia, with Harmanpreet's dramatic run out proving to be a deciding factor in the outcome of the match. The 33-year-old was visibly shattered after the defeat and was seen crying after the match. Taking to Twitter, Harmanpreet thanked fans for their unconditional support, saying that the Indian team will bounce back strongly.
Travis Head has backed himself to keep being aggressive against the Indian spinners in the third Test beginning in Indore on March 1. Members of the Australian team stayed back in the capital following the loss at the Kotla on day three of the second Test on Sunday. With David Warner back home due to an elbow fracture, Head will open alongside Usman Khawaja in Indore. The southpaw was dropped for the first Test in Nagpur.
