"Pressure On MS Dhoni Is Enormous": South Africa Great On What CSK Captain Is Going Through In IPL 2023

Chennai Super Kings have taken another step towards solidifying a playoff berth in the 2023 IPL by picking up a 27-run win over the Delhi Capitals at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. CSK's balanced batting saw them score 167 runs with six players hitting 20 or more runs, including a blistering 20 from MS Dhoni (9b, 1x4, 2x6). Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, Ambati Rayudu, and Ravindra Jadeja joined Dhoni in the 20-run club, with Dube's 25 runs being the most (12b, 3x6). Delhi had a poor start, losing their Top-3 with just 25 runs on board. Rilee Rossouw put up a resilient 35 runs (37b, 2x4, 1x6) but simply couldn't score fast enough to reach the target.

"Won't See MS Dhoni Making Basic Errors": Ex-India Star Gives CSK Captain's Examples While Highlighting DC's Flaws

Delhi Capitals' Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign suffered a blow as the David Warner-led side failed to chase down 168 against Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday. After the bowlers did a fine job to restrict CSK to 167/8, the batters failed to score fluently as DC kept losing wickets on regular intervals. One of the biggest talking points from the match was the batting position of all-rounder Axar Patel, who came out to bat after DC had lost half of their batters.

For Playing 2023 World Cup Matches, Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Najam Sethi Proposes This

The confusion regarding the host venue of the 2023 Asia Cup still remains. While it was scheduled to be held in Pakistan, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah, who is also the head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), in October last year said that India won't travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. After that statement, the deliberations have been going on regarding the host venue of the continental event. A hybrid model has also been proposed, in which the plan is to shift India's Asia Cup matches outside Pakistan, but no final decision has been made regarding that too.

Pakistan May Leave ACC If Asia Cup Moves Out Of Country Completely: Report

In a desperate bid to host some matches of the Asia Cup in Pakistan, the PCB is now trying to convince the Asian Cricket Council to allocate just four first round games in Pakistan or else they would have no option but to pull-out of continental body. PCB chairman Najam Sethi's 'Hybrid Model' of Pakistan playing its home games apart from India encounter, in their own country, has been rejected by other member nations. PCB, in turn, has rejected the idea of hosting Asia Cup games in Sri Lanka.
