Former Indian cricket team chief selector MSK Prasad believes that Virat Kohli should be considered as an option to replace Rohit Sharma as skipper. Rohit succeeded Kohli as India skipper back in 2022 but following disappointing performances in the T20 World Cup and the World Test Championship (WTC) final, questions have been asked about his leadership. Prasad said in a recent interaction that Kohli should be considered as a viable option to take over the captaincy in case the team is looking to replace Rohit and even referenced the return of Ajinkya Rahane as the Test vice-captain.

R Ashwin's "Just Colleagues" Comment On India Teammates Makes Sunil Gavaskar 'Sad'

The camaraderie between the current crop of Indian players has evolved and taken a new form in current times. While some of the players from the previous generation also became best friends, according to Ravichandran Ashwin, that isn't the case anymore. After Ashwin revealed that his India teammates 'aren't friends but colleagues', legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar expressed his disappointment. Gavaskar admitted that it's a sad thing as players should be able to talk to each other about the off-field stuff when the cricketing duties are over.

In the press conference after Australia's defeat to England in the Leeds Test, Cummins was asked by a reporter if the momentum of the game has shifted towards the host because of the third Test's result. Cummins produced a mic-drop moment with his epic response to the journalist who asked the question, sending a laughter riot across the entire press room.

Team India is all set to take on the West Indies in the first Test, starting July 12 in Dominica. It will be the first game for the side since the World Test Championship final against Australia that ended on June 11. The Indian team has already reached Dominica and started the training at the venue.
