"Felt Sidelined And Ignored After the T20 World Cup": Mohammad Amir

Ex fast bowler Mohammad Amir says he felt sidelined and ignored by the "Pakistan cricket setup" after the 2024 T20 World Cup and cited lack of communication as the reason behind his retirement late last year. Amir and Imad Wasim had come out of their retirements to play in last year's T20 World Cup in which Pakistan's flop show saw the winners of the 2009 edition failing to make the Super Eight stage. Both these players announced their retirements on consecutive days last December. Amir said on a TV channel, "I felt sidelined and ignored by the Pakistan cricket setup after the T20 World Cup. After the T20 World Cup ended, no one even talked to me. No one told me if I was part of the future plans." "A wise person understands the signs - if you're not in the plans, then you have to think about yourself. That's exactly what I did. I've made up my mind now - thank you very much, international cricket," he said.

SRH vs MI: Jasprit Bumrah On Verge Of Reaching Two Major Milestones

"Badoni, Samad, Miller More Likely To Score Runs": Rishabh Pant Gets Brutal Reality Check

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant's No. 7 stunt saw the franchise lose steam after a terrific opening stand between Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh. Pant, who usually bats at the No. 4 spot, saw the likes of Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad and David Miller bat ahead of him in the game against the Delhi Capitals. Pant came out to bat for just two deliveries before heading back to the LSG dugout for a duck. While the move did make 'some sense' to former England cricketer Nick Knight, he doesn't feel it paints a good picture.

Jasprit Bumrah Is A 'Cat Burglar' For This Australia Great As India Gear Up For Border Gavaskar Trophy

Dubbed as the bowler "impossible to face" by swashbuckling Australian batter Travis Head and a "cat burglar" by former tearaway pacer Brett Lee, Jasprit Bumrah's reputation precedes him. The India pacer, who is set to captain India in the first Test of the five-match series starting on Friday, has left both past and present Australian players in awe of his skill and threat. Not since the golden era of the West Indies in the 1970s has a touring pace bowler struck fear into the hearts of Australians as much as Bumrah, according to the local media here.

After 6 Defeats In 8 Games In IPL 2025, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan's Big 'Panic Button' Statement

Chennai Super Kings as a franchise never presses the panic button and there is not much to worry about despite the five-time champions' ordinary run in the current season IPL, its CEO Kasi Viswanathan told PTI on Wednesday. CSK have lost a record five games in a row this season and more than halfway into the tournament, find themselves at the bottom of the points table with six losses in eight games. They have lacked firepower in the batting department and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad's absence due to an injury has only made it worse for the storied outfit.
