The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah has confirmed that an advertisement to hire a new head coach will be released soon. Rahul Dravid, who has been Team India's head coach since November 2021 and saw his contract being extended after the conclusion of the 2023 ODI World Cup. But, it doesn't look like Dravid is going to be handed an extension, with the board rolling out the advertisement for a new coach soon. Dravid's current contract with the BCCI, as the head coach of the Indian team, runs out in June, when the Indian team will also be involved in a T20 World Cup campaign.

He is a white-ball specialist and has featured in previous two T20 World Cup campaigns for the Blackcaps. Munro had been hoping to reignite his New Zealand career at next month's ICC Men's T20 World Cup, but the 37-year-old narrowly missed out on earning a recall and has decided to call time on his time as an international player.

He has amassed 634 runs at a strikerate of 153.5 and an average of 70.44 this season. "For me it's still quality over quantity. For me it works really well. Also the understanding of the game allows you to practice less, just try to replicate what I have done in the past. Still aiming to improve aspects of the game that you want to get batter at. It's an evolving process," he said during the post-match presentation.
The Lucknow Super Giants had one forgettable night in the IPL on Wednesday. They got thrashed by 10 wickets as SunRisers Hyderabad batters Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma launched a never-seen-before attack. They chased down a target of 166 in just 58 balls. This was the fastest successful chase for any 100+ target in the IPL. Head finished on 89* off 30 balls with a strike-rate of 296.67 while Sharma finished on 75* in 28 balls with a strike-rate of 267.86. Compared to them, there was another senior batter in the rival camp, who looked quite subdued.
