Watch: Jasprit Bumrah Uproots Mushfiqur Rahim's Middle Stump With Stunning Delivery

As India's search for the 10th Bangladesh wicket reached the final ball of the extended first session, Jasprit Bumrah produced a stunning delivery that completely deceived Mushfiqur Rahim. The Bangladesh batter was hoping to take a single in order to keep the strike when the second session begins but failed to read the slower one from Bumrah. The delivery from India's marquee pacer went through the gap between Mushfiqur's bat and pad to uproot the middle stump. Courtesy of Bumrah's third wicket of the innings, Bangladesh were bowled out for 147.

BCCI Breaks Silence On 'Washout' Row During India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test In Kanpur

BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla on Monday put up a stout defence of Kanpur as a Test centre, saying the venue can't be denied the chance to host long format matches as it is set to undergo an upgrade to improve its infrastructure. Persistent rain has played havoc with the second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park as two full days of play were washed out without a ball being bowled. The stadium has an outdated drainage system and three super soppers were used to dry the ground after rain. On Sunday, it did not rain much and the sun also came out for a brief period but the wet outfield did not allow play to begin. Only 35 overs could be bowled across the first three days of the Test.

With rain washing out more than 2 and a half days in the match, Rohit Sharma's men scored 285/9 in just 34.4 overs, scoring at a rate of 8.22 in a Test match. Before the end of day's play, India managed to declare the innings and also get two Bangladesh batters out, giving themselves a realistic chance of a result in the second Test. While it was Rohit Sharma and his batters who drew plaudits for the strategy, bowling coach Morne Morkel later revealed the point of view head coach Gautam Gambhir had put across.

Watch: Rohit Sharma Reacts As Virat Kohli Survives Run-Out. Rishabh Pant's Sweet Gesture Gets Viral

Indian batters Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were involved in a terrible mix-up during running on Day 4 of the second Test vs Bangladesh in Kanpur, but the good thing for the hosts was that no one got out and it all ended up with a smile. It happened on the first legal delivery of the 19th over of India's innings. Bangladesh pacer Khaled Ahmed bowled a good length delivery outside off stump to Kohli. The India batter got a big inside edge on the ball while going for a drive. The ball hit Kohli's body and got further slowed down. Spotting an opportunity, the batter decided to take a quick single.
