Champions Trophy: PCB Ready To Follow ''Hybrid Model'', India Likely To Play In UAE - Report

In an apparent climb down from its earlier stated position, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is willing to make "adjustments" in the schedule of the 2025 Champions Trophy which it is hosting with matches involving India taking place in the UAE, according to sources. It could mean that the tournament may be held in the 'Hybrid Model' as the Indian government is unlikely to allow its team to travel to Pakistan in the existing socio-political environment and security concerns for national team.

PCB May Make Jason Gillespie All-Format Coach If Team Performs Well In Australia White-Ball Tour: Report

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may make Jason Gillespie as the all-format head coach of the national team if the results of the ongoing white-ball tour of Australia is "satisfactory", according to sources. Test team head coach Gillispie is also taking charge of the white-ball side in Australia after Gary Kirsten's sudden resignation. "For the moment, the Board is working on a plan to appoint Jason Gillespie as all-format head coach instead of advertising for new candidates," a PCB source told PTI on Thursday.

Virat Kohli's "My New Team" Post Sends Social Media Into Frenzy. Internet Says, "Gave A Shock To Nation"

Virat Kohli was one of the three retained players by Royal Challengers Bengaluru ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. He became the costliest Indian player to be retained at Rs 21 crore. On the international front, Kohli has not been going through a smooth phase. Virat Kohli's scores in the recently concluded Test series against New Zealand read 0, 70, 1, 17, 4, 1. And the reflection of that performance is clear on his ICC Test ranking. Courtesy his scores of 4 and 1 in the Mumbai Test that India lost, Kohli has dropped down eight places to 22nd. This is the India star's lowest in over 10 years. In August 2014, he was ranked 24th after a lean tour of England.

"Used To Eat Like Pigs": Ravi Shastri On India Tour Experiences, Opens Up On 'Liquid'

Ravi Shastri is probably one of the most straight-talkers in world cricket. He is not known to shy away from speaking his mind with honest. The same was seen during the launch of 1983 World Cup winner and ex-chairman of BCCI selectors Sandeep Patil's autobiography - Beyond Boundaries. During the launch of the book by Sandeep Patil, one of the panelists asked Shastri about an incident during an international Tour, when Shastri and Patil were roommates. The panelist asked about whether it was true that the hotel's room service person was surprised about the amount of food ordered by the duo. Shastri answered on the affirmative.

ICC's Huge 'Unsatisfactory' Verdict For Venue Where India Thrashed Bangladesh, NZ Series Venues Ratings Are...

The ICC has rated Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium pitch, used for India's Test match against Bangladesh, as "very good" with other four home centres used during the season being deemed "satisfactory". In fact, all the three Test venues used against New Zealand -- Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy, Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune's Gahunje and Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai -- just about managed "satisfactory" ratings from the ICC match referee. However, Kanpur's Green Park stadium's outfield has been rated "unsatisfactory" by the ICC match referee Jeff Crowe.

Retired James Anderson Breaks Silence On Registering For 1st IPL At 42. Says, "Can Still..."

England's pace great James Anderson says he has listed himself for the upcoming IPL mega auction to enhance his knowledge about the game, having ended his international career as the most successful fast bowler in Test cricket earlier this year. In a surprising move, the 42-year-old Anderson, who last played a T20 match in 2014 and never played a match in the Indian Premier League, registered himself for the auction slated to take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, at a base price of Rs 1.25 crore.

"Look Forward To Bazball": England Great Alastair Cook After Nation's Third Straight ODI Series Loss

Interim England head coach Marcus Trescothick has admitted that it has been a challenging time for the side after losing the ODI series to the West Indies. A packed cricketing schedule meant England included a lot of newbies in their ODI tour of the Caribbean, but lost 2-1 to register their third straight series defeat in the format. “It has been a really challenging time for us. Guys have just finished the Test series in Pakistan. There is another Test series starting in 20 days' time. We know where we are. We have seen some things we have wanted to see,” said Trescothick to TNT Sports at the end of the series.
