Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz outlasted Daniil Medvedev 6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in the men's singles semifinal of the Wimbledon 2024 to enter the title-decider on Friday. Alcaraz had a nervy beginning, losing the first set to the Russian Medvedev by a narrow margin before truly getting into his game to win the next three sets. The Spaniard, who is the World No. 3 at the moment, would look to retain the Wimbledon title he won last year.

LONDON : The Wimbledon women's singles final between Italy's seventh seed Jasmine Paolini and 31st seeded Czech Barbora Krejcikova takes place at the All England Club on Saturday. The men's and women's doubles finals are also taking place.
Donna Vekic said the lesson was to "never give up" after overcoming dark times to reach her first Grand Slam semi-final at Wimbledon on Tuesday. The Croatian won 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 to end the fairytale run of New Zealand qualifier Lulu Sun and will face Italian seventh seed Jasmine Paolini or US 19th seed Emma Navarro for a place in Saturday's final. Vekic, 28, had knee surgery at the start of 2021, and suffered further setbacks into the follow season, which she described as "very tough". Even this year, before the French Open, she was tempted to take a break from the tour. "I didn't have any energy, any motivation to keep practising, keep pushing because I felt like the last couple of months I've given everything for tennis, and I wasn't getting the results that I kind of expected," she said.
Jasmine Paolini reached her second consecutive Grand Slam final with a 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) victory over unseeded Donna Vekic at Wimbledon on Thursday in a rollicking match that lasted 2 hours, 51 minutes, making it the tournament's longest women's semifinal on record.
SEATTLE — A'ja Wilson had 24 points and 20 rebounds for her first career 20-20 game and the Las Vegas Aces beat the Seattle Storm 84-79 on Wednesday.
LONDON : Russian sixth-seed Andrey Rublev crashed out of Wimbledon in the first round on Tuesday, losing 6-4 5-7 6-2 7-6(5) to world No.122 Francisco Comesana of Argentina, playing his first match at a Grand Slam.
