The Indian women's kabaddi team players struggled to hold back their tears after beating Chinese Taipei in the final of the Asian Games. In what was a nail-biting encounter, India edged their opponents 26-25 to claim the gold medal, which was also India's 100th at the Hangzhou Games. After the referee blew the full-time whistle, the Indian players broke down as tears of joy flowed down their cheeks. Players hugged each other and celebrated the historic moment for the country.

In Historic First, India Touches 100-Medal Tally In Asian Games
The Indian contingent truly lived up to the 'Is Baar Sau Paar' target as the nation officially touched the 100-medal mark in the Hangzhou Asian Games on Saturday. India were already assured of a century in the medals tally on Friday which concluded with the country pocketing 95 medals. More medals in compound archery (3), kabaddi (2), badminton (1), and men's cricket (1) were already assured. On Saturday, which is the final day for Indian athletes' events in Hangzhou, India added four more medals in archery while the women's kabaddi team's win over Chinese Taipei in the final officially took India to the 100-medal mark.

Archers continued to add to the country's medal rush, with Pravin Ojas Deotale and Abhishek Verma clinching gold and silver medals respectively in the men's compound archery at the 19th Asian Games on Saturday. Pravin defeated Abhishek to bag the gold medal by a margin of 149-147. With these medals, India has now aggregated 9 medals, including 6 golds in compound archery. This is the best performance registered by India in the compound archery event.
