The Chennai Super Kings franchise will launch its Indian Premier League title defence on 26 March with the first match of the world's most valuable cricket tournament, the country's cricket board said on Sunday.
Chennai Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar is set to miss first half of the upcoming Indian Premier League due to a right quadriceps injury which he sustained during the third and final T20 match against West Indies in Kolkata. According to BCCI sources, Chahar is likely to be out for eight weeks. "Chahar is out for at least eight weeks, which means he will miss half of IPL 2022," the BCCI source told PTI. The IPL 2022 starts on March 26 and CSK is still waiting for a final report from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru where the pacer is recuperating.
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be establishing Super Kings Academy - cricket coaching centres for both boys and girls. The Super Kings Academy will start with two centres - Chennai and Salem - and expand across Tamil Nadu, India and the rest of the world over time. The first Super Kings Academy in Chennai will be located at Thoraipakkam, while the one in Salem will be at the Salem Cricket Foundation.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketer Robin Uthappa made some strong statements about the Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions and the way it has been conducted over the years.
