The Champion Golfer of the Year will pocket the highest amount in The Open's history as it returns to the renowned Ayrshire links for the tenth time. The R&A announced an increase of half a million dollars in the prize purse for the 2024 Open to be played from July 18 to 21. The prize purse will now be USD 17 million, a USD 500,000 increase from 2023.
