Gill previously played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. "The players who do well in the IPL will have a great chance to make it to the T20 World Cup. I am also looking forward to it. If I do well in this IPL, then even I will have a chance to get selected for the (T20) World Cup and if I am able to do that, then I will be very happy," Gill told ANI. The talented batter has played 58 matches in the Indian Premier League since making his debut in this league in 2018, and this season he believes any team can win the title. "Definitely, all the ten teams have a chance. We have as much a chance to win the IPL as any other team, or I think we would take the IPL by storm because we have all the boxes ticked this year. Our team has proper batters, fast bowlers, genuine all-rounders ... It all boils down to how well we play on the field," Gill added.
