IPL Auction 2022: Liam Livingstone's career revival gets IPL money boost of Rs 11.50 crore
Lancashire were relegated under Liam Livingstone's captaincy back in 2018, the Englishman's cricket career threatened to wander into oblivion. Things were going exactly the opposite way a sports-person would want -- a broken thumb and a virtually barren run of 10 matches in the Championship. But an IPL contract worth as much as Rs 11.50 crore that the 28-year-old kittied on Sunday made him the most expensive overseas player of the 2022 auction. At the end of a forgettable 2018, Livingstone relinquished the Lancashire captaincy despite capping the season with a blistering hundred in the T20 Blast on the Finals Day.
